You will be accountable and responsible leading the company sales function, in collaboration with ICON’s CBDO, and for generating, nurturing and closing new business opportunities. Responsibilities include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve both individual and company financial targets. Your duties will include hitting quarterly and annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer and industry trends.


Main Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be generating, nurturing, supporting the negotiation of sales and business development transactions, and closing new business opportunities. You will have the responsibility to increase sales revenue through the design and implementation of appropriate strategies for the each of the business’s six verticals and services.

You will be required to compile and present detailed prospect proposals both face to face and via video. Additionally, cold prospecting will be required when warm leads are exhausted. In this position you will track and review actual sales results, weighing them against the set targets and business KPIs in order to determine the effectiveness of sales initiatives and implement necessary changes and solutions.


Responsibilities Include

  • Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Perform persistent outreach through multiple channels – LinkedIn, phone, emails, F2F and social media
  • Be able to clearly and articulately deliver ICON’s value proposition
  • Pitching ICON’s services and tailored best-fit-solution
  • Preparing bespoke solution quotes and proposals for pipeline leads
  • Support with RFP responses
  • Identify and effectively communicate business cases where required in order to maximise the value of a contract, increase the propensity for the contract itself, or to create urgency in gaining commitment and project commencement
  • Positively contributing to marketing discussions to ensure relevant messaging is being delivered to target verticals
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunities
  • Maintain strategic pipeline in line with business needs
  • Preparing and executing prospect persona analysis, prospect planning and pursuit plans for prospects
  • Use and maintenance of opportunities and activity in department CRM
  • Ability to understand customer pain points and accurately assess the value for both the company and customer
  • Attending meetings and on occasions, conferences and industry events
  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships


Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Finance, or any other business related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for the position
  • 3+ years of successful experience in similar role, preferably in BPO Industry and/or service-based sales
  • Experience presenting and/or working closely with senior and/or c-suite level personnel is preferred
  • Strong understanding service sales best practices, methodology and procedures
  • Excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
  • A tenacious high energy attitude
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to demonstrate proficient skills in verbal, written, and social media management
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic
  • High level of integrity and a strong commitment to building a successful company
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, namely Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Experience with CRM applications preferred
  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales or similar, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
